A practical explanation
Zahlon Study does not add advertising cookies, behavioural advertising or marketing analytics in this release. It uses browser storage needed for account sessions and the planning actions you request. The hosting platform may also set security cookies.
| Storage | Purpose | When it is removed |
|---|---|---|
Local storage: zahlon-study-auth and related authentication keys | Keep your Study login session and complete authentication or password-recovery steps | On logout, session invalidation or clearing site data; temporary verification data is removed when consumed |
Session storage: study-planner, study-budget, study-opportunity, study-signup-name, study-verify-email | Carry your requested choices between the planner, account screens and workspace | After the relevant import or confirmation, on applicable deletion actions, or when the browser ends the tab session; browser session restoration can affect this |
| Hosting/security cookies, where set by Cloudflare | Distinguish legitimate traffic and protect the website from abuse | According to the cookie’s expiry and the hosting security configuration; see Cloudflare’s notice |
Why there is no advertising consent banner
This release does not activate optional advertising or analytics storage. Necessary storage supports services you expressly request, such as signing in or carrying a budget into your workspace. The German rule for necessary terminal-device storage is described in § 25(2) TDDDG. If optional tracking is introduced, the service and notice must be updated and any required consent obtained before it runs.
Your controls
Log out on shared devices. You can clear site data in your browser’s privacy settings; this removes locally stored sessions and unsaved planning choices but does not delete records already saved to your account. Use account and data deletion to remove those records. Blocking all storage can prevent login and saving from working.

Cloudflare explains its security cookies in its cookie policy. The exact cookies present can depend on the security checks needed for your visit.
